What is an NIL?
NIL stands for Name, Image, and Likeness. An NIL Contract is an agreement by and between an athlete and their school, a business, etc. to get paid for endorsements, memorabilia, or anything else associated with their Name, Image, or Likeness. NIL contracts are typically negotiated on behalf of amateur athletes.

As a former athlete, I understand the needs of athletes, especially with respect to getting paid. I went to school at a time when the NCAA didn't allow student-athletes to be paid for our contributions.
